TEMAK is one of the oldest and well-established companies of machine tools industry in Turkey. After passing away of the founder Mr Ali Küçükoğlu, TEMAK continues its existence by strengthening as a family company committed to corporate values and principles. We talked with Ms Pelin Küçükoğlu, Member of the Board of Directors of TEMAK, both how the well-established company emerged and the values of the company, as well as taking part as a woman in the so-called male dominated industry.
Could you tell us about the establishment process of TEMAK?
Ali Küçükoğlu, who graduated from Boğaziçi University Mechanical Engineering in 1982, worked professionally in the product development department of TOFAŞ factory, which was his first job, and then in the foreign trade departments of the machining tools industry. Later he founded TEMAK Teknik Machine Tools company. Temak’s first big business was selling a huge press line to one of Turkey’s leading car factory
